The Australian Sheep and Wool Show  provides the largest wool show where you can see so many breeds from not just Victoria but from across the country.  The new hall that houses the rare breeds makes the experience enjoyable.  The craft stalls are plentiful.  Come meet the crafters and the breeders!

Travel easily from Melbourne for a quick day trip on the train.  Buses run regularly from the train station to the showgrounds.  

Sydneysiders may need to plan a bit more.  Use the overnight train to/from Melbourne with a quick ride to the show from Melbourne's Southern Cross Station. You might even be able to fit in a bit of Melbourne shopping on Sunday before riding back on the train overnight to Sydney.
